About Bets & Horses

By the Bets & Horses racing desk · Updated 18 October 2026

Bets & Horses is a British horse racing site for people who bet. We cover every UK race, every day: racecards, odds from 12 bookmakers, results, racecourses, and profiles of the horses, jockeys and trainers who make the sport. Around that data we write about betting itself — which bookmakers are worth an account, which offers are worth taking, and where the value is on today’s card.

What we do

Racecards and odds. Every UK meeting, with runners, form, going, silks and draw, and live prices from 12 UK bookmakers. We highlight the best price on every runner, so you never take a shorter price than you need to.

Results. Winners, placed horses, starting prices and race times from every UK meeting, published as races are run.

Profiles. Our top 20 jockeys, top 50 horses and leading trainers are ranked on their results over the last 12 months, not on reputation, and updated every day.

Bookmaker reviews and guides. We review UK betting sites on the things that matter to racing punters: price, Best Odds Guaranteed, streaming, each-way terms and how they treat customers.

How we rank bookmakers

Our rankings start with data. Every day we compare every partner bookmaker’s price on every UK runner and record:

how often each bookmaker has the best price
how far off the best price it is when it isn’t top
how many races it pays extra places on

Then we look at what the numbers can’t show: Best Odds Guaranteed terms, live streaming, racing promotions, apps, payments, safer gambling tools and what thousands of real customers say on Trustpilot and the App Store. Where a bookmaker has been fined by the Gambling Commission, we say so.

We only recommend bookmakers licensed by the UK Gambling Commission.

How we make money

Bets & Horses is free to use. We earn commission from some of the bookmakers we feature when readers open an account through our links. This never costs you anything, and it doesn’t decide our rankings: the bookmaker with the most favourable commercial terms is not automatically the one at the top, and we print the data behind every ranking so you can check it. Links to partner bookmakers are marked as sponsored.

Responsible gambling

Every page on Bets & Horses is for adults aged 18 and over. We print the significant terms of every offer we show, and we never present gambling as a way to make money. If gambling stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists the tools and free, confidential support available — including the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.

Who we are

Bets & Horses is published by Gambler Labs ApS, Copenhagen, Denmark, an independent publisher of betting and travel websites. Our racing data comes from The Racing API.
