Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Bets & Horses (betsandhorses.co.uk) collects, why, and what rights you have. It applies to this website only.
Who we are
Bets & Horses is published by Gambler Labs ApS, Copenhagen, Denmark, which is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at portemao@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you browse. Like most websites, our servers record technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. We use it to keep the site secure and working.
When you contact us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply to you.
Cookies. We use cookies that are needed for the site to work. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand how readers use the site, so we can improve it. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.
When you click a bookmaker link. Links to partner bookmakers are affiliate links. When you click one, the bookmaker or its affiliate network may set a cookie to record that you came from Bets & Horses. If you open an account, we may receive a commission. We don’t receive your name, account details or betting activity; the bookmaker’s own privacy policy applies once you are on its site.
Why we use your data
We process personal data on these legal bases:
- Legitimate interests — running, securing and improving the website, and replying to messages.
- Consent — analytics cookies and any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that help us run the site, such as our web host and, with your consent, analytics providers. They process it on our instructions. Some providers may process data outside the UK or the European Economic Area; where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised by UK and EU data protection law.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and then deleted, and in any case for no more than two years. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- object to or restrict how we use it
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time
To use any of these rights, email portemao@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
Age
This website is for adults aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
