Tomorrow's UK racing: declarations and early prices

Declarations for most UK races are made the day before, so tomorrow's racecards fill up through the afternoon. Bookmakers publish early prices soon after. Early prices can be generous, especially on horses the market hasn't yet focused on — but they can also be cut quickly.

Betting the night before

Best Odds Guaranteed usually starts on the morning of the race, not the evening before, so a bet at an early price is settled at that price even if the horse drifts. Our BOG guide lists start times for every bookmaker. Check the going on the morning of the race too: overnight rain can change a race completely.

When are tomorrow's racecards published?

Most UK races close for declarations the day before at around 10am, and full fields are published shortly after. Big Saturday races can be declared earlier.

Does Best Odds Guaranteed apply to bets placed the day before?

Usually not. Most bookmakers apply BOG to bets placed from the morning of the race — 8am at Betfred, Ladbrokes, Coral and Unibet.

What are early prices?

Fixed odds published by bookmakers the evening before a race. They can be bigger than the morning prices, but a bet at an early price isn't covered by Best Odds Guaranteed.
