★ Recent form analyst notes

  • Pos 8 11 Apr Aintree

Settled midpack early - lost place near back after a nudge along following a sluggish jump at the first and stayed there for a spell before improving three out - held no more in hand from the following fence and faded to finish well beaten

  • Pos 3 21 Feb Kempton

Settled midfield early - closed on the front group approaching 4 out then pushed into third by 3 out - unable to match leading pair from 2 out - stayed on for third

  • Pos 2 17 Jan Ascot

Settled towards the back - still needing to close the gap 3 out - pushed along and made ground 2 out - closed on the front markers - stayed on strongly to snatch second close home

  • Pos 4 20 Dec Ascot

Settled off the pace in the pack - pushed along before the 13th - moved into fourth before 2 out - unable to find more and beaten into 4th
