Going trend · Polytrack means consistent year-round conditions. Turf racing in spring/summer typically good to firm.

Draw bias · On the Polytrack, low draws are favoured in sprints. In 1m+ races, no significant bias.

★ Signature events at Lingfield

  • JANUARY
    Winter Million Festival
Three-day winter racing festival on the Polytrack — high-class AW Flat fixtures with valuable prize money.
  • MAY
    Lingfield Oaks & Derby Trials
Classic trial day on the turf — the Derby Trial and Oaks Trial point to Epsom three weeks later.

★ What punters need to know about Lingfield

  • Lingfield Derby Trial form is patchy as an Epsom pointer — undulations don't match enough.
  • Polytrack specialists (e.g. trainers like David Evans, Charlie Wallis) thrive at Lingfield.
  • Winter Million prize money attracts ambitious smaller yards — watch for unconsidered runners stepping up in class.
